Knex challenge
We decided to make the most of the lovely weather in June to work outside . Here the class are building both with Knex pieces and on team work skills to complete the challenge set – to construct a model which moved on its own.

Raising funds for charity and having fun wearing silly trousers – just another fun day at Dalry Primary.
Today was our school trip, the entire Primary School went to visit Dean Castle. P4/5 searched for bugs and beasties, quite a few wee beasties found us but fortunately Anna came to the rescue with midge repellent! Thanks Anna (and her Dad for sending it). We found lots of insects, a frog , a newt slugs, snails, centipedes and millipedes. After lunch we played in the adventure playground then visited pets’ corner. Thanks to Mrs Firth and Miss Fisher for helping on the trip.
The class had a great time when Mrs Bigger came to show us some science experiments. We learned about skulls, PH and chemical reactions. Everyone had fun and we can’t wait to invite her back!
More fun in class with celebrations, Hamish blows out his candles on another delicious chocolate cake. Huge thanks to his mum for today’s cake and for supplying all the Paul Jones football team with chocolate malteser slice yesterday. It must have given us the edge as the football team won through to the finals of the Paul Jones. Well done team and thanks Hamish and Morag we are happy for you to keep feeding us all.
Castles made from Lego and body armour for another tough day at school.
