New reading buddies.

 

We look forward to our reading lessons with S4 and appreciate them taking the time to come down and work with us. This term we have changed buddies and have new people to read to. Here are the latest pictures hot off the camera!

Lewis gets another award

Lewis won this splendid trophy for gaining the most points in the children’s section of the Glenkens Show. This is the second time that Lewis has won this trophy. Well done Lewis we are very proud of you.

Open Afternoon

Thanks to all parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents who took time to come to our open afternoon. Hopefully we will see you all again next term.

Problem Solving

This term we have been have lots of fun solving problems. Our topic is based on Professor Layton’s curious village and the class had to work their way round the village solving lots of different problems as they went. It has been so popular that some of the P6s have started working on  Prosfessor Layton and Pandora’s box. In the pictures you can see some examples of the different types of problems we have been looking at.

Reading with S4

Every Wednesday S4 pupils come to our class to read with our pupils. as you can see from the photographs primary and secondary pupils are working very well together.

Cara won this fabulous certificate and medal for reading in the holidays, well done Cara.

More awards

Ellen gained this award in the summer holidays from the library. She had to read three books, easy work for the school’s star reader. Well done Ellen. Sabrina won THREE prizes at the Glenkens show for poetry, making a vegetable animal and growing lettuce, fantastic work Sabrina.

Well done to Emily who won this young handlers trophy.

Moonwalk

Miss Lamont walked 26 miles to raise money for breast cancer. She gained this medal and loads of blisters, well done you’re a star.                               

More celebrations

More fun in class with celebrations, Hamish blows out his candles on another delicious chocolate cake. Huge thanks to his mum for today’s cake and for supplying all the Paul Jones football team with chocolate malteser slice yesterday. It must have given us the edge as the football team won through to the finals of the Paul Jones.  Well done team and thanks Hamish and Morag we are happy for you to keep feeding us all.
