More celebrations

More fun in class with celebrations, Hamish blows out his candles on another delicious chocolate cake. Huge thanks to his mum for today’s cake and for supplying all the Paul Jones football team with chocolate malteser slice yesterday. It must have given us the edge as the football team won through to the finals of the Paul Jones.  Well done team and thanks Hamish and Morag we are happy for you to keep feeding us all.

Fun Fours Football

                                                                                                                              Our fabulous Fun Fours football team won through from the Stewartry then Regional finals to the Nationals in Edinburgh. Here is a photograph of our brilliant players. Back row Joshua, Drife (captain), Joe, James, front row Theo, Michael and Hamish. Congratulations to them all and many thanks to our ever supportive parents for their help and cheers during the heats and the finals.

Newton Stewart Music Festival

                                                

P 4/5 went to Newton Stewart Music Festival today to sing in the Dalry senior and junior choirs. With Miss Lamont’s class they sang ‘All World Turns Over’ and ‘Scooby Doo’ for the senior choir and with Mrs Porteous’ P3 pupils they sang ‘Good News’ and ‘A Cat Called Alexander’. The choirs both sang very well and ended up with joint third place.  

Seashore

This term we are studying the seashore. Here are some of the fantastic things the class have brought in about the seashore. Special thanks to Callum’s gran who posted up some different kinds of seaweed from Hartlepool.

Awards

Some of our class have recently passed Level C maths, Level C reading and Accelerated Reader levels. Ellen has also gained an extra award for reading over  2 MILLION words since we began accelerated reader at the end of September. What a brilliant bunch!!

Haggis Bash

 

We had our annual Haggis Bash tonight and sang, danced and recited poems to honour Robert Burns. Everyone had loads of fun as usual. Well done to our eight dancers Hamish,Ellen, Drife, Kimberly, James, Anna, Michael and Sabrina.
