New reading buddies.
We look forward to our reading lessons with S4 and appreciate them taking the time to come down and work with us. This term we have changed buddies and have new people to read to. Here are the latest pictures hot off the camera!

As you can see from the photographs P4 & 5 had a great time at the Wigtown Writers’ Festival. They heard three different authors reading from their books and were able to ask them questions about their work and what had inspired them to become writers. P 6 went to Wigtown to hear different authors - unfortunately they were so busy having fun they didn’t take any photos!
Ellen gained this award in the summer holidays from the library. She had to read three books, easy work for the school’s star reader. Well done Ellen. Sabrina won THREE prizes at the Glenkens show for poetry, making a vegetable animal and growing lettuce, fantastic work Sabrina.
The representatives from P4/5/6 for the pupil council are Ruth and Sabrina, and for the Eco Committee are Taylor and Callum. All four pupils spoke well in election speeches and gained their places in a close competition between very strong candidates. Well done to everyone who also stood for election.
Well done to Emily who won this young handlers trophy.
